Whether your goal is to become a hockey player, figure skater, or simply enjoy skating for fun, the Havre Skating Club offers Learn to Skate USA classes designed to help skaters build confidence and develop fundamental skating skills in a fun, supportive environment.
All classes are taught by certified Learn to Skate USA instructors and focus on developing the skills needed to enjoy a lifetime on the ice!

Snowplow Sam
Ages 4-6
An introduction to skating for our youngest skaters, focusing on basic skills, balance, and building confidence on the ice.
Basic Skills
Ages 6+
Develop fundamental skating skills and confidence while learning techniques that support continued growth on the ice.
Hockey Skills
Ages 6+
Build the skating fundamentals needed for hockey, with an emphasis on developing confidence and control on the ice.
All classes focus on skating fundamentals. Hockey sticks and pucks are not used during Learn to Skate sessions, including Hockey Skills classes.
Adult Learn to Skate
Adults
Whether you're stepping onto the ice for the first time or looking to improve your skating skills, our Adult Learn to Skate class offers a welcoming and supportive environment to build confidence, develop fundamental skating skills, and enjoy time on the ice. Perfect for adults interested in recreational skating, hockey, or simply trying something new!
How to Register
Register with Learn to Skate USA
All skaters must complete an annual Learn to Skate USA membership before registering for classes.
Membership fee: $20 per year • Valid July 1–June 30
What to Bring
Helmet
Helmets are recommended for all skaters during classes.
Warm Clothing & Gloves
Dress in comfortable, warm layers and be sure to wear gloves.
Ice Skates
Rental skates are available for skaters who do not have their own.
